A RESOLUTION COMMENDING MS. JIMOLA MCCASKILL UPON HER RETIREMENT FROM THE MISSISSIPPI EMPLOYMENT SECURITY COMMISSION.

WHEREAS, Ms. Jimola McCaskill, a resident of Greenwood, Mississippi, has retired from the Mississippi Employment Security Commission after 31 years of service; and

WHEREAS, in May 1962, Ms. McCaskill graduated from Broad Street High School in Greenwood, Mississippi, and in October 1966, she received secretarial training from Systematic Training and Redevelopment; and

WHEREAS, Ms. McCaskill began working with the Mississippi Employment Security Commission in May 1968, where her responsibilities included recruitment, screening and preparing young people for enrollment into the Job Corps Training Program; and

WHEREAS, throughout her career, Ms. McCaskill maintained records on Job Corps Enrollment from the Greenwood Employment office, developed good public relations and appearance, gave Job Corps presentations at various high schools and kept the community aware of the opportunities available within the Job Corps Training Program; and

WHEREAS, Ms. McCaskill has received several awards such as the Employee of the Year Award in December 1991, and the Employee of the Month Award in October 1991; and

WHEREAS, it is the policy of this Legislature to recognize and pay special tribute to such outstanding employees as Ms. McCaskill, who devoted over 30 years of her life to helping people find jobs:

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI, That we do hereby commend and congratulate Ms. Jimola McCaskill upon her retirement from the Mississippi Employment Security Commission and extend our heartiest wishes for success in all her future endeavors.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That copies of this resolution be furnished to Ms. Jimola McCaskill and members of the Capitol Press Corps.
